Farm on a Roof

A sustainable rooftop garden in Little Italy...I did not want this slide show to end! It's pretty incredible... the family who lives and maintains the garden, I think it's more of a small farm than a garden, enjoy home grown bananas, lemons, and berries, they've had a bee colony and enjoyed the honey it produced, they have wild flowers and trees which attract butterflies and birds, and they have chickens! So amazing.

Bread

I made this on Sunday using Mark's speedy version of the original no kneed but let it sit for 18 hours bread recipe. I only had to let this one sit for 4 hours. It was so good and so nice to smell bread baking in my oven. Yum. I'm going to add herbs and cheese to the next one. And maybe olives to one and honey and dried fruit in another. I wonder if I could put beef in the middle of one. That would be awesome.

Pool

I don't care what people say about a pool being a nuisance or too much bother. I want one and I especially want one like this. You could be walking and and not paying attention and oops... fall right in. No beach chairs, concrete, or fences, just a silvery pool of water amid the grassy lawn.

Beat it, Ikea.

Another one for the Day Trip file... Adams Unlimited. Big warehouse full of junk. Who's in? Cheap too. Who's in?
