Bird ceiling

For those of you that know me personally, you know that I have a pretty deep love of birds. So when I saw this, I about died (thats so dramatic). This ceiling is so beautiful, and what an entryway to walk into. I wish I could see it in person. One day when I have a ceiling that I can call my own I would like to do this or a variation on this. I think vibrant color copies against the back drop of a black ceiling would be striking or it might be interesting to arrange the pictures in a pattern of some sort.

A space in my space

I need a working space like this, complete with metal shelving for supplies and a bulletin board for posting inspirational swatches, magazine pages, and illustrations. Such a tidy space, too.

I just finished this dress for little baby Iris. I'm pretty happy with it. Knit completly in the round using one skein (200g) of yarn, it was pretty quick and easy. Hope she likes it!

Personalized Cake Pans

I don't usually blog about things like this (a little too kitschy for my taste), or even search them out, but these are pretty cute. What a great gift for mom, or the baker in your life. And who doesn't love personalized cake pans?! The little illustrations that you can choose from are funny but cute and varied too. You can pick everything from an old retro mixer to a hockey player. And for the religious baker, there's the cross. Amen.

Gauzy.

Whatever is going on in this picture, I like. Is that a canopy of some sort that is tied up somehow? I can't really tell, but I like it. It's romantic and gauzy.

White Room

I know I've said before that I'd love to have a black/Navy room (and have actually been considering this more and more lately), dark and cozy like a cave, but I also love the clean, white and brightness of this room. And the hard wood floors are so pretty, they look older and worn. I want to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon here and day dream on the "dog bed".

Yo-yos

These are really cute and simple to make. I just got done sewing about 10 pillow covers for my daybed and I think I might dress some of them up with some yo-yo's. Here's a tutorial on how to make them. This girl's blog is supercute too.

Natural Pool

Good clean fun. Count me in.
